Maestro2 3D OCT-1 Optical Coherence Tomography

We are proud to announce our newest instrument the Maestro2 3D OCT-1 Optical Coherence Tomography.

With this OCT technology, doctors are able to see a cross-section or 3D image of the retina and detect the early onset of a variety of eye conditions and eye diseases such as macular degeneration, glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy (the top three diseases known to cause blindness).

Optomap® Ultra-widefield Retinal Exam Detects Disease Earlier!

Bayview Optometrics is pleased to offer the latest technology for evaluating the overall health of our patients’ eyes. During an annual eye exam, Dr. Leavitt utilizes the optomap® ultra-widefield retinal exam to monitor for complications including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, and retinal holes or detachments. These problems can develop without warning and sometimes with no signs or symptoms.

This state-of-the-art technology allows your doctor to see small details that can also assist with detecting systemic problems unrelated to the eye such as hypertension, diabetes, cancer/tumors, auto-immune disorders, and others.

The Optomap® Retinal Exam:
-Is as fast as taking a picture.
- DOES NOT REQUIRE DILATING DROPS. You may not need to be dilated every year, potentially eliminating a 30-minute wait and avoiding side effects such as blurry vision and light sensitivity.
- Will be saved in your file enabling your doctor to make important comparisons during your annual eye exam.
